SELECTIVITY. this is a selective blog, meaning that i have the right to chose who - or who not - to roleplay with at any given time. this is not a follow for follow blog. i have an insanely busy schedule beyond tumblr and because hartley was given such a small arc in the show, muse can be hard to come by.

TRIGGERS / NSFW CONTENT. this blog will have nsfw content and triggers. it will be tagged to the best of my ability, but since i have no triggers, some things could go over my head. before i write any trigger-heavy threads, i will do my best to check with you first.

SHIPPING. let’s be honest. i am shipper trash and i ship hartley with chemistry. however, please be aware that he is homosexual and is attracted romantically and sexually only to males.

GODMODDING. do not dictate what my character is doing. i’m not very touchy when it comes to this and if i have a problem with what you’re doing, i will let you know before anything else. but if your character wants to punch hartley in the face? go for it. just be wary that he’s brilliant and will find a way to retaliate.

SMUT. as the mun is well over the legal age, there will be smut here. i’m not saying that I’m the best at writing smut but it’s probably going to happen. if you are not comfortable or underage, just let me know and we’ll fade to black instead.

  being raised as an adult was a lesson that empires could fall. . . and hartley was not exempt. in spite of such renowned genius and commendable accomplishment, rejection was suffered for his one perceived flaw. estranged from his family for being gay, hartley was left in solitude— but it didn't stop him from paving himself a better future. in a job with harrison wells at one of the most prestigous labs in the world, he found a place for himself. a home. together, they could build a better future for central city. after all. . . he was harrison's own chosen one.

  hartley still refuses to blame anyone. who could blame an aging couple who are unequipped to take on a disabled child?? osgood and rachel rathaway were blessed with a son after many efforts—— though their happiness soon faltered upon the realization that their baby boy was deaf. for the first three years of his life, hartley was passed between doctors and specialists, millions of dollars spent on surgeries until their hopes were dashed ;; informed that their precious baby boy would likely never hear. with heavy hearts, they made the decision to put their son up for adoption to a good home who could handle his disability. with hartley would come several million dollars to support him and those who would raise him.
  though it was hard to find a family who would accept a child with disability, but they were indeed found. harrison wells and tess morgan, unable to have a child of their own, took him on—— it was rough at first. so few people had attempted to communicate with the four year old boy ;; but they didn’t give up. the adoption papers were signed and they became a family with their own special needs.
  hartley wells grew up to be a strong, intelligent young man, having fostered an extremely close bond with his dad through their shared struggles and experiences. harrison was the one to liven hartley, help him learn and grow. only in his late teens did hartley learn to properly articulate his speech through successful hearing aides fashioned by his dad—– though his genius is still primarily expressed through sign language. hartley works at S.T.A.R Labs with his parents, aiming for a better and brighter future for the world.
